Lift Assist Spring

Mother nature hasn't been kind to many types of springs used on our plows. When it comes to clutch lift type trailer plows, many JD models used a long spring to assist the clutch with lifting the plow. When these springs break, the clutch may not be enough to lift your plow unless conditions are ideal and need to be replaced.

Until recently, the lift spring used on No. 4B-4C-4D and No. 44 series plows which used a cast iron plug in one end hasn't been available. The spring assembly part number originally used is DA3330A. We offer a new spring, but you will have to reuse your original cast iron plug.

The rusty spring above is an original, but rust pitting will cause it to break if used. Below the nice clean new spring will provide years of good service and help avoid frustration of a broken spring.

The free length of the spring is 18 inches with an outside diameter of 1-1/2 inches.
