Moldboard extensions were offered as optional equipment on most John Deere plow bottoms (from the mid-1930's through the 1970's). The moldboard extension attaches to the outer wing of the moldboard by using the two bolt holes & plow bolts made into the moldboard. The intended benefit of the extension is to 'extend' the turning ability of the moldboard to ensure a complete turning of the furrow slice when plowing at slow speeds, when plowing up hill, and when plowing hard to turn soils and in sod. Made from high quality Abrasion Resistant AR400 steel, these moldboard extensions will wear very well and enhance the plowing ability of your John Deere plow. Price is $30 each.
Thes extensions are compatible with the following JD plow bottoms: GP, NGP, EP, HS, NU and replace oem part number 7750A.
Bolts are NOT included.
Note the extension was adjustable up or down depending on how the operator wanted the furrow slice to be turned. Generally up for faster and deep plowing while low for slower and shallower plowing.
New moldboard extensions fit most John Deere plow bottoms and have been reported to fit on International and P&O plows also.
The bolt hole spacing is 2 inches from eachother and meant for moldboards with the outer bolt 2 inches from the end of the board.
